Decking
Traditionally, most decks have been constructed from wood. But as lumber becomes more scarce and expensive, building decks using boards and railings made of composites will inevitably become more and more commonplace.
These man-made products are referred to as composites because they are often made from a variety of materials; some synthetic and some natural. Offsetting their higher cost is the fact that annual maintenance is greatly-reduced, if not entirely eliminated. Ongoing improvements to the appearance of these synthetics continues to make them more appealing to a broader consumer base.
