Welcome to Advance Building Supply!

Advance Building Supply, located just south of Sedalia, MO at US 65 and State Road F. The business started in 1978, in the basement of our home; next to it, we built a small warehouse for supplies. Initially, we sold vinyl siding and accessories. Later we added vinyl-clad windows, exterior doors, foam boards, fiberglass insulation, metal building materials, aluminum trim coil, wooden window, shutters and accessories.

In 1996, 1998 and 2002 we erected additional buildings to handle our steady growth. Even then, we were bursting at the seams by 2006 needing still more floor space, when disaster hit.

March 12 of that year at 4:20 pm our offices, warehouses and residence took a direct hit from an F3 tornado. Just 20 seconds later everything was gone. Thankfully, since it was Sunday and we were closed, no one was in any of the structures so no injuries were sustained. Although dazed by the devastation and fearing this might be the end of our company, eight days later we had relocated to a temporary site and resumed ordering and delivering material.

We utilized the temporary location until September 15, 2007, when we moved into our new warehouse, office, and showroom facilities. The new warehouse is approximately 40,000 square feet, the office and showrooms share another 5,000 square feet. We also have easy-access parking for trucks and trailers. Increased warehouse space allowed us to add additional inventory and drastically reduced the time needed to fill orders. These improvements mean faster deliveries and result in savings of time and money for our valued customers. We started with two employees; we now have eleven who are completely knowledgeable and dedicated.
